The Scriptures Inspired

The Scriptures, both the Old and New Testaments, are verbally inspired of God and are the revelation of God to man, the infallible, authoritative rule of faith and conduct.

  • 2 Timothy 3:15-17
  • 1 Thessalonians 2:13
  • 2 Peter 1:21
The One True God

The one true God has revealed Himself as the eternally self-existent “I AM,” the Creator of heaven and earth and the Redeemer of mankind. He has further revealed Himself as embodying the principles of relationship and association as Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

  • Deuteronomy 6:4
  • Isaiah 43:10,11
  • Matthew 28:19
  • Luke 3:22

  • His sinless life – Hebrews 7:26, 1 Peter 2:22

The Fall of Man

Man was created good and upright; for God said, “Let us make man in our own image, after our likeness.” However, man by voluntary transgression fell and thereby incurred not only physical death but also spiritual death, which is separation from God.

  • Genesis 2:17
  • Genesis 3:6
  • Romans 5:12-19
The Salvation of Man
  1. The Plan of Redemption

Jesus Christ died for all of us while we were still sinners; He took the punishment for our sin. With His own blood, He purchased salvation and redemption for all who believe in Him. John 3:16, Isaiah 53:5, Titus 2:14

  1. Salvation Through Grace

Salvation is totally an act of God’s grace that is accessed through faith in Jesus Christ. No person can be good enough to earn salvation, and “being good” does not contribute to receiving God’s love and favor. Ephesians 2:8 & 13

  1. Repentance and Acceptance

When people repent for their sins and accept Christ, they are justified through Jesus’ sacrificial death on the cross. To repent means to be sorry for sins, but it also means to turn away from a sinful lifestyle. Accepting Christ means believing in Him as the only Savior. To be justified means being declared “not guilty” in regard to sin.Romans 10:9-10, 1 John 1:9

  1. New birth

The change that takes place in people when they are “born again” is very real. They receive righteousness through Jesus Christ, and they are empowered by the Holy Spirit; therefore, they should have new desires, interests and pursuits. John 3:3, 2 Corinthians 5:17

Baptism in Water and the Lord’s Supper
  1. People who have been born again should be baptized in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Jesus Himself was baptized and instructed His followers to be baptized. Baptism also confirms that Christ is the Lord and King in each believer’s life. Observing the Lord’s Supper, or communion, just as Jesus instructed. This means that born-again believers take the broken bread and the fruit of the vine as a remembrance and celebration of the new life that is theirs because of Jesus’ death on the cross and His resurrection. It is also looking forward to His return as triumphant King.
    • Matthew 28:19
    • Mark 16:16
    • Acts 10:47,48
    • Romans 6:4
Personal Existence of the Devil

The Bible describes the devil as “the prince of power and air: and the “prince of this world”

The Church and its Mission

The Church is the Body of Christ, the habitation of God through the Spirit, with divine appointments for the fulfillment of her great commission. Each believer, born of the Spirit, is an integral part of the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn, which are written in heaven.

  • Ephesians 1:22,23
  • Ephesians 2:22

Hebrews 12:23

The Ministry

Making disciples is the primary “focus” of the church; every hindrance to worldwide evangelism should be removed. A divinely called and scripturally ordained ministry has been provided by our Lord for the threefold purpose of leading the Church in:

  • Evangelization of the world – Mark 16:15-20, James 5:20, Mark 16:15
  • Worship of God – John 4:23,24
  • Building a body of saints being perfected in the image of His Son. – Ephesians 4:11-16
The Final Judgement

There will be a final judgment in which the wicked dead will be raised and judged according to their works. Whosoever is not found written in the Book of Life, together with the devil and his angels, the beast and the false prophet, will be consigned to the everlasting punishment in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.

  • Matthew 25:46
  • Mark 9:43-48
  • Revelation 19:20
  • Revelation 20:11-15
  • Revelation 21:8
